How the real version would work
Two data sources, because Blizzard only shares part of your character outside the game.

Look up a character
Type realm and name. A small server asks the Blizzard Profile API for the equipped gear, then fills the Character tab.

Export from the game
/mh export collects equipped items and every bag slot and shows it as text to copy.

Paste and compare
The site scores each item with stat weights for your spec and shows which pieces to swap.

Why a small server is needed
The API needs a client secret. That must never sit in a web page where anyone can read it.
A tiny proxy (for example a free Cloudflare Worker) holds the secret, fetches the token and passes the answer on.
Bag advice needs no server at all: the export text is read in the browser.
